Evil Geniuses has signed former 100 Thieves mentor Jovanni “Jovi” Vera as its Game Changers head coach.

After playing for an EU mix team called The Barbers, Jovi will be reportedly joining the VALORANT team. He is known for his strategic mind and ability to guide his team to success, making him a valuable asset to Evil Geniuses.

Vera replaces interim head coach Christine “potter.” Potter, who will still coach the male Evil Geniuses roster that is competing in the Americas international league.

Jovi, who played a key role in OpTic Gaming’s win at the Stage One Masters in April of last year, is planning to add some new players to the roster after ongoing trials.

Currently, Juliana “showliana” Maransaldi, Melisa “theia” Mundorff and Stefanie Jones are all part of the team.

The Evil Geniuses GC team participated in the VCT GC Series Three North America in October of the previous year.

However, their performance was disappointing as they lost to Complexity GX3 in the first round of the upper bracket and were later defeated by Misfits Black, resulting in their last-place finish.

In November, the franchise terminated their relationship with former head coach David “Xp3” Garrido, Amanda “rain” Smith and Emmalee “EMUHLEET” Garrido.

EG joined Game Changers in August of the previous year, slightly later than other well-known franchises in the region including Cloud9 or Shopify Rebellion. Their entrance was solidified with the signing of the Dignitas Female roster on August 4.

Evil Geniuses have a long history of success in the esports world, and with the addition of Jovi, the franchise is poised to continue that success in the Valorant Game Changers scene.

Teams like Evil Geniuses are positioning themselves at the forefront of the competition. With Jovi’s addition to the Game Changers roster, Evil Geniuses are hoping that the team will be well-equipped to take on the best teams in the world and come out on top.
