The Global Esports Federation (GEF) has secured a partnership with the European Olympic Committees (EOC) aimed at the expansion of competitive gaming throughout the continent.\u2028 \u2028<\/p>\n
In an official press statement, the GEF stated that the partnership is in line with EOC\u2019s goal of searching for various ways to connect and engage with Europe\u2019s young audience.\u2028 <\/p>\n
\u2028\u201cThe Global Esports Federation confirmed a strategic partnership with the European Olympic Committees (EOC),\u201d the statement read.\u2028 <\/p>\n
\u2028\u201cIn line with the growing convergence of sport and esports, this partnership will further amplify the GEF\u2019s efforts to promote, expand and develop esports across Europe. The partnership also forms part of the EOC\u2019s initiatives to explore new ways of engaging with young people across the continent.\u201d\u2028 <\/p>\n
\u2028The partnership will see both parties work together in developing several avenues to breach the gap between sport and esports. One such opportunity is the addition of esports to the European Games, which are set to be held in Krak\u00f3w-Ma\u0142opolska, Poland, in 2023.\u2028 \u2028<\/p>\n
