This led to Mike Schwartz taking over as interim general manager, and he wasted no time making his mark with some drastic changes.<\/p>\n<div class=\" embed-twitter\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Roster\u2019s looking a little different this week<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Immortals (@Immortals) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Immortals\/status\/1276953445413642241?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 27, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p>Schwartz, alongside Immortals coaches Paul \u201cMalaclypse\u201d Decsi and Adrien \u201cGotoOne\u201d Picard, came up with the idea to start the academy roster over the weekend after Immortals lost their first four games of the split. That move led to a recall for veteran jungler Jake Kevin &#8220;Xmithie&#8221; Puchero, <a href=\"\/immortals-enter-2020-lcs-summer-split-without-xmithie\/\" title=\"Immortals enter LCS Summer 2020 without Xmithie\">who was dumped from the first team ahead of the LCS Summer<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Joining Xmithie in his return to the LCS were top laner Kieran &#8220;Allorim&#8221; Logue, ADC Apollo &#8220;Apollo&#8221; Price and support Nickolas &#8220;Hakuho&#8221; Surgent, while mid laner David &#8220;Insanity&#8221; Challe made his debut appearance in the North American top flight after spending the last two years playing for the academy rosters of Team Liquid and Immortals.<\/p>\n<p>Although Immortals&#8217; academy roster struggled early on against Golden Guardians and even trailed by over 3k gold at one point, Xmithie and co. held their ground and edged out an impressive win.<\/p>\n<div class=\" embed-twitter\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/IMTWIN?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#IMTWIN<\/a>! <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Immortals?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@Immortals<\/a>&#39; new look roster picks up the teams&#39; first win of the 2020 <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/LCS?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#LCS<\/a> Summer Split after taking down <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GoldenGuardians?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@GoldenGuardians<\/a>! <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/LCS?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#LCS<\/a><\/p>\n<p>? <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/vNprEWDftF\">https:\/\/t.co\/vNprEWDftF<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/8ir1NcOyGg\">pic.twitter.com\/8ir1NcOyGg<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; LCS (@LCSOfficial) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LCSOfficial\/status\/1277030137335123968?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 28, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p>Top laner Allorim held his own on the weak side, ending the game with 2\/1\/9 on Malphite, although his opponent Kevin \u201cHauntzer\u201d Yarnell locked in incorrect runes on Mordekaiser, using Fleet Footwork instead of Conqueror keystone. How much that mistake contributed to Immortals&#8217; win is up to debate, but it&#8217;s fair to say it did add to Hauntzer&#8217;s disappointing 2\/5\/0 performance.<\/p>\n<p>Xmithie did not disappoint in his return to the LCS, ending the game with a 4\/2\/9 record on Trundle and maintaining a strong map presence. However, it was Apollo and Insanity who did most of the work. Apollo ended the game with a 7\/1\/4 record on Ezreal, while Insanity proved he can compete at the highest level by earning the MVP award with a 2\/0\/8 game on Orianna.<\/p>\n<div class=\" embed-twitter\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">IMT MVP presented by <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/insanitylol?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@insanitylol<\/a> in his LCS debut. <br \/>He had:<br \/>0 Deaths<br \/>10 KDA<br \/>63% KP<br \/>and was the perfect bait for
