It was an extremely solid performance from the outsiders, who schooled Top Esports despite mid laner Li “Xiaohu” Yuan-Hao playing exceptionally poorly.
That win also proved that Weibo Gaming’s ceiling is very high; it’s only a matter of consistency and whether they can produce another showing like it on Friday. Not that Weibo is known for being reliable, but they have shown two excellent performances heading into the grand finals.
This is still Bilibili Gaming’s game to lose, as they are stronger, but only slightly. At +474 with the top LoL betting sites, Weibo Gaming are criminally underrated and an excellent bet to win a map and as a smaller position on the +1.5 maps market.

Top Esports are the favourites here, as they have shown much higher highs this split, but they’ve hardly produced more in their recent outings than Weibo Gaming. As shown in their series against BLG, Top Esports can be vulnerable if stopped early, and Weibo are unquestionably a squad capable of throwing a spanner in the works.
At the current prices, the outsiders are an excellent longshot bet. However, the safe play is to back Weibo Gaming at the map line.

This should be a very competitive series. There is not much to set them apart in terms of quality, and while LNG Esports tend to do well against Weibo Gaming’s style, it is not like the underdogs rely only on their early game to get themselves in advantageous positions.
At plus money, Weibo Gaming are the more appealing pick.

The results the teams have produced would suggest that LNG Esports and Bilibili Gaming are evenly matched, and we could even make a case for LNG Esports as the better team. They played a five-map series against JD Gaming (who swept Bilibili) and were equally as successful against Top Esports. But that doesn’t necessarily mean much.
LNG Esports looked very good in the regular season, but they came extremely close to losing against Weibo Gaming. Their win against Top Esports was a sight to behold, with TES showing their inability to close out games. LNG Esports deserve credit for what they’ve accomplished, but they haven’t looked good in either of their victories in the playoffs.
Bilibili Gaming entered the LPL 2023 Summer Playoffs as the best-performing team in the league, and unlike LNG Esports, they looked good in their win against Top Esports. The series against JD Gaming (0-3) was a bit of a stomp, but with Bilibili sitting 0-7 in the head-to-head there, it’s fair to say JDG are their kryptonite.
LNG Esports are not a bad team, but the gap between them and Bilibili Gaming is larger than what the latest LoL esports betting odds suggest. Bilibili Gaming to cover the 1.5-map handicap is an excellent bet, with a smaller play on BLG to sweep worth considering as well.

And it’s not only that JDG are better than LNG Esports; it’s also that LNG didn’t look good in their win against Weibo Gaming. The whole game was a mess, with both teams making questionable plays, and had just one teamfight ended differently, Weibo would’ve won.
JD Gaming haven’t played a game since the regular season, but that benefits them as they have plenty of film to look over. Still, any significant preparation won’t be needed here, mainly because JDG stylistically match up nicely with LNG Esports.
LNG Esports rely a lot on getting ahead early, which will be extremely difficult to achieve against JD Gaming, who have held a gold lead at 15 minutes in nearly 85% of all maps they’ve played this split. That was noticeable in JDG’s 2-1 victory over LNG during the regular season, which was achieved through pressuring their opponents early and slowly choking them out.
JD Gaming have a straightforward win condition – they have to play their own game. LNG Esports must hope that their foes slip. We’ll give LNG one map, but this is JDG’s game to lose.

Top Esports can have their moments, and considering all the talent on this team, they should never be written off. Still, TES haven’t looked very good when faced with tougher opponents this season, and they’re prone to making mistakes, which Bilibili Gaming will punish.
Clean sweeps aren’t that common in the latter stages of the LPL playoffs, but knowing how easily Top Esports can collapse, Bilibili to win with at least two maps to spare is the right choice.

There are other things to consider. Weibo Gaming have proved to be somewhat inconsistent when faced with weaker teams, but they have performed better against strong opposition. We saw a glimpse of that on Sunday when they nearly dropped two maps against the vastly inferior Ninjas in Pyjamas (3-1). Other examples include losses against FunPlus Phoenix (1-2) and Invictus Gaming (0-2) across the final three weeks of the split.
LNG Esports are the exact opposite. They take care of business against weaker teams but don’t look as good against strong opponents, which is because LNG rely a lot on gaining early leads.
Seeing Weibo Gaming priced as underdogs make some sense since they have suffered a few bad losses. But this team has a much higher ceiling than it seems, and if they can figure out how to be more consistent, Weibo can make it far.
Out of all remaining LPL 2023 Summer Playoffs teams, Weibo Gaming have the best chance to exceed expectations. It’s possible that Weibo will collapse and allow LNG Esports to run away with the game, but at the offered LoL betting odds, the outsiders are excellent value.

A four-game losing streak doesn’t look good, but Team WE deserve some slack since the final two games didn’t matter, as they had nothing left to fight for. So as bad as their loss against FunPlus Phoenix looks, we shouldn’t focus much on it.
That defeat is likely the main reason why Team WE are priced as underdogs for this match, since it’s tough to say that EDward Gaming have looked any better this split. These two teams have very similar performance metrics, and it’s hard to justify saying one is better than the other.
The market is still very bullish on EDward Gaming, as it has been this entire split, but this looks like a 50-50 match at best. Team WE at the offered LPL betting odds is an excellent value bet.
