The series began with a dominant performance from M80 on Ancient, taking a 13-2 victory.

Despite G2’s early warning after winning a force buy on the CT side, M80’s lead was challenged.

On Inferno, G2 fought back from a 1-7 deficit, forcing overtime and eventually winning, with Ilya ‘m0NESY’ Osipov leading the charge.

Vertigo followed a similar pattern, with G2 clawing back from a 7-2 deficit to force overtime again and eventually winning the series.

Despite M80 having several match points, they failed to close out, leading to a tense conclusion on the ninth match point, which M80 finally secured.

G2’s frustration was evident, with their Danish in-game leader expressing embarrassment in a tweet after the match. They now face Falcons in the Last Chance Stage.

On the other hand, M80’s victory set up a rematch against BetBoom, the team that initially sent them to the lower bracket.

Despite feeling they threw many rounds, M80 managed to regain their energy and secure the win.

In another series, FaZe Clan secured their spot in the ESL Pro League playoffs by defeating Eternal Fire 2-1 (9-13, 13-11, 13-8) in a three-map battle.

FaZe struggled on Anubis and Mirage but managed to level up on Inferno, winning comfortably after some key plays, including a momentum-turning 1vs3 by Helvijs ‘broky’ Saukants.

FaZe’s Finn ‘karrigan’ Andersen expressed relief at having some days off before the playoffs, indicating they would focus on improving their performance on Anubis and Ancient.

The final series of the day saw BetBoom qualify for the playoffs after claiming a 2-1 (7-13, 13-6, 16-14) victory in a marathon series against M80.

Despite M80’s strong start on Ancient, BetBoom managed to turn the tide and secure victories on Mirage and Anubis, completing a double over M80 in the tournament.

Lastly, Sharks and Imperial became the first two teams to be eliminated from ESL Pro League S19 after suffering their third straight defeat of the event.

The 24-year-old in-game leader started his pro-CS:GO career in 2017, and ever since then, the Russian national has only soared in his quest to become a neck-breaking player in the region. Boombl4 has played for teams such as Elements Pro Gaming, Winstrike Team, Quantum Bellator Fire, and more recently Natus Vincere. Boombl4 has been Natus Vincere since May 2019; hence, he represented the organization for a period of three years.

Natus Vincere moved the CS:GO player to the bench on May 28th of this year. However, this was not due to poor performance from the player, but rather allegations made by Boombl4’s now-divorced wife, Lika “LiQueen” Mikhailova, who accused him of being a drug addict, in support of the Russian invasion. Hence, the organization stated he will be inactive as a result of “high reputational risks for the club.”

At the peak of things, Boombl4 reported he was being blackmailed, and all allegations pinned on him were false. Following how these episodes of allegations took a toll on the player’s career, BetBoom is taking a chance with the former team captain.

Former Navi Vincere player Eugene “Aunkere” Karyat who sparked the rumours of Boombl4’s joining BetBoom said on a stream that : “We could have a composition of Boombl4, me, deko, flamie and Jerry. I think it could be *** [very] strong composition. Deko – *** [very] strong AWP. This has been proven many times in official matches. I would play my roles. On the star player. That would be *** [excellent] because I studied everything on them. Of course, Jerry, Boombl4 and flamie would mix. But it turned out that flamie would be a supporter. We talked to Jerry about this line-up when I went to his housewarming party. He said it was a super good roaster, promising. Jerry and Boombl4 would be captain, depending on the map. It’s a new level.”

Captain of ForZe, Andrey “Jerry” Mekhryakov, released a statement backing Aunkere, in which he noted that the streamer and player was telling the truth about the CS: GO team BetBoom building a roster around Boombl4.

“The information is truthful. It didn’t happen because the roster had role issues that weren’t discussed. BetBoom Team should decide on negotiations and transfer buyouts for this lineup to assemble. But the organization opted to pick OverDrive or hooch, while we had our own coach who would work with us,” Jerry said.

“Would it be like Aunkere described on stream? Most probably, the lineup would be different. Currently, Boobml4 will play in the BetBoom Team.”

Boobml4’s last match before he went inactive was at the 2022 PGL Major Antwerp, which was held on May 22. Boobml4 and Natus Vincere made quite an impressive run by emerging in second place, although they lost to FaZe Clan in a tough match that ended in a 0-2 score. The team made an outstanding run in the previous year, packing a back-to-back first-place streak at the DreamHack Masters’ Spring, Intel Extreme Masters XVI Cologne, ESL Pro League Season 14, PGL Major Stockholm, BLAST Premier: World Final, and a couple of others.

Currently, there’s been no news from the organization on these transfers; however, it is likely that BetBoom will make an official announcement about the acquisition of these players just after the holiday season.

This comes just after the team came to the end of their run in the ongoing The International tournament, which will come to an end in a couple of days. After having a fantastic start in the competition and achieving first place at the TI Eastern Europe Qualifiers, the team’s performance at the Tier 1 TI11 came to an end with a 19th -20th place.

The Dota squad is made up of former Ninja in Pyjamas player Nikita “Daxak” Kuzmin, solo middle player Denis “Larl” Sigitov, support captain Akbar “SoNNeikO” Butaev, Evgeniy “Noticed” Ignatenko, Vladimir “RodjER” Nikogosian, and Ukrainian coach Andrey “Mag” Chipenko.

According to a press statement by team manager Luka “Lukawa” Nasuashvili, the esports group is grateful to their fans for the support during their brief Dota 2 run and is also grateful to be represented by skillful players.

“On behalf of the team, We would like to thank all the caring fans who have followed the guys and supported them throughout the year. There were ups and downs, there was the Stockholm Major and qualifiers to Arlington and, in fact, TI 11 itself. Throughout the year, the guys showed themselves to be absolute professionals in their field,” Lukawa said.

According to Lukawa’s account of the departure of the team, he said the partnership ended amicably, with both parties maintaining the friendship built.

“At the beginning, it was not clear whether such an approach would be better or worse than the classic organization. But from the very first days we saw how absolutely everyone in BetBoom is not indifferent to Dota, the community, and [team],” Lukawa said.

“We have come a long way together and in such a short period of time we have become true friends that we will continue to be.”

BetBoom made its Dota 2 debut early this year, with a long list of partnerships and sponsorships in Dota 2 events. Hence, since BetBoom is releasing their team, the organization needs to make some decisions regarding its own player roster. They do possess components that might pique the interest of a potential sponsor or a team that may want to collaborate with them.

Lukawa also spoke about the future plans of the organization, although he did not give specific details on the projects and their timelines. He noted that the organization will definitely be visiting the Dota 2 scene once more.

“In the near future, BetBoom will determine the vector for the further development of the BetBoom Team project. One thing is for sure – there are many more special projects within the framework of Dota in the plans. All in order to improve and make the scene better and brighter. Thank you for being with us!” he said.

When TI11 draws to a close, there will be a massive post-TI roster change that will affect every region and every Dota 2 squad. That nearly always implies that teams that do terribly at the tournament or do not make it to the event at all will be revamping at least one component of their squad.
