The golden dragons are the underdogs, but they have historically performed well against the Chinese team, proving that even the most stacked squads can bleed.
But we can’t just ignore the raw talent on DPG’s roster, namely Kim “herO” Joon-ho and Kim “Cure” Doh-wook, who are two of the most consistent players in the world right now. Classic still deserves respect for his past achievement and unmatched strategic brilliance; however, he hasn’t shown much since his return from the military service. Unlike Classic, Astrea is known to be more “out-of-the-box”, making him a wildcard player for Alpha X and someone who can defeat anyone on a good day.
Looking at the three match-ups, we would still prefer DPG, but Alpha X are known for punching above their weight class and have shown that they can compete with the best. At +137, Alpha X are a solid value pick. Alternatively, a bet on over 6.5 maps is worth considering.
